Poland signs 28 billion euro defense contracts

The Polish government has signed contracts with local defense industry companies worth a total of 120 billion zlotys (approximately 28 billion euros) within the framework of the European Union's military rearmament financing program (SAFE).

Modern.az reports that PAP agency disseminated information about this.

According to the large-scale agreements signed, approximately half of the total allocated amount will be directed to the military-industrial company "Huta Stalowa Wola". Within the framework of the contracts, the Polish army will be supplied with 146 "Borsuk" infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), 96 "Krab" howitzers, and 64 "Rak" self-propelled mortars.

According to the agreement, all ordered military equipment and vehicles must be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces by 2030.
