US President Donald Trump's statement about the progress of talks with Iran came as a surprise to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Modern.az reports, citing an informed source, that the “Axios” portal reported this.

“Netanyahu was not warned in advance and was surprised when Trump first released his statement about the agreement with Iran,” the portal's report says.

According to “Axios”, the US president stated that the preparation of documents for the agreement is in its final stage. According to the White House chief's assessment, the agreement could be signed in Europe as early as next weekend.

Trump announced on June 11 that Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei had approved the agreements reached with the US. He noted that the final formalization of the documents is expected to be completed in the coming days and their signing could take place in Europe next weekend. Trump added that he would not attend the signing ceremony.

Later, “Reuters” agency, citing IRNA, published a statement by Iranian Foreign Ministry representative Ismail Baghaei. Baghaei stated that Iran has not yet made a final decision on a possible agreement with the US and will not make any concessions on its “red lines” in the negotiations.
