The geographical direction from which the next stage of the state border delimitation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia will begin has been determined. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that an agreement was reached on carrying out delimitation work from the northern border to the south. According to the minister, the process will start from the trilateral point where the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia intersect.
So, which is our first village located at that point where the process will begin?
According to Modern.az's research, the strategic height (Babakar mountain range) where the state borders of the three countries intersect falls within the territory of the village of Ikinci Shikhli in the Gazakh region, according to the administrative-territorial division.
Ikinci Shikhli village is one of our unique villages bordering both Georgia and Armenia due to its geographical location. In this regard, the delimitation line between the two countries will be continued gradually from the trilateral intersection point located in the territory of this village of Gazakh to the south - in the direction of the Iranian border.
