The latest efforts by US President Donald Trump's administration to stop the Russia-Ukraine war have not led to serious progress in negotiations.
Modern.az reports that, according to information released by "Bloomberg" citing its sources, Ukraine's allies are preparing for the war to continue in 2027.
According to the information, Moscow plans to further intensify strikes on Ukraine, especially on energy infrastructure, during the winter months. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin does not demonstrate his readiness to back down from his main demands for stopping the war.
Moscow insists on taking full control of the eastern part of Donetsk region. Kyiv, on the other hand, proposes to stop fighting along the current front line. Thus, serious disagreements continue to exist between the positions of the parties, and the diplomatic efforts of the US administration have not yet yielded the expected results.
"Bloomberg" writes that Ukraine's allies are already preparing for a long-term war scenario. European countries plan to purchase additional "Patriot" systems and missile interceptors from the US to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
These steps indicate that expectations for the war to end in the near future have weakened.
