Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for the implementation of the "one day a week without a car" initiative in government agencies.

Modern.az reports that "Tasnim" agency disseminated information about this.

During the government meeting, Pezeshkian listened to reports on the implementation of programs in the country and discussed the main issues on the agenda.

Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and interaction between government agencies and the public in the current situation.

Pezeshkian asked officials to constantly communicate with the public, provide necessary and accurate information to the public, listen to people's criticisms and dissatisfactions, and take steps to solve their problems as much as possible.

The President noted the importance of implementing the "one day a week without a car" initiative.

He stated that this initiative should primarily start with the government, state departments, organizations, and state companies. According to Pezeshkian, the initiative should become sustainable and gradually turn into a general public movement and broad social participation.

In Iran, the price of gasoline purchased with a gas station card has doubled since September 8.

At this rate, one liter of gasoline increased from 5,000 tomans to 10,000 tomans.

However, preferential tariffs for the population remained in force. Drivers will be able to buy 60 liters of gasoline per month for 1,500 tomans per liter, and another 50 liters for 3,000 tomans.

Those who buy fuel above these limits or do not have a personal fuel card must use the station's card. In this case, one liter of gasoline will cost 10,000 tomans.
