The publication ironically presented the incident as “information leakage, but not in a journalistic sense.” It is reported that as a result of heavy rain that started after a hot day in Brussels, water droplets began to pour from the high glass ceiling of the European Union building onto the journalist's desks below.
The photo shared by “Politico” shows white buckets placed inside the building to collect rainwater.
Although no serious consequences were recorded during the incident, the images caused widespread discussions on social networks.
