25 US states have filed a lawsuit against the new import tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump's administration.

According to the information, the states claim that the White House is trying to effectively restore import tariffs previously abolished by the US Supreme Court through new tariffs.
Last month, the US imposed double-digit tariffs on products imported from 59 countries and the European Union. Washington justified this step by stating that these countries were not fighting sufficiently against the import of products manufactured using forced labor. The new tariffs came into effect as soon as the temporary tariffs, which had expired after the Supreme Court's decision, ended.
The lawsuit was joined by Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin.
