Yesterday, the anniversary of the establishment of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora was celebrated.
Elvin Novruzov, a diaspora youth operating in the Czech Republic and coordinator of Azerbaijani Diaspora Youth (ADY) in the Czech Republic, told Modern.az that the policy implemented by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora has made a significant contribution to the formation of Azerbaijanis living in various countries of the world as a united force.
According to him, he is currently pursuing higher education in Prague, Czech Republic, at the same time works as a professional cinematographer and serves as the coordinator of ADY in the Czech Republic. During this period, he actively participated in numerous projects and events organized by ADY and tried to make creative contributions to the networking of young people.
"I think that the purposeful policy implemented by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora for years has an irreplaceable role in the formation of Azerbaijanis in the world as a united force. Today, our national diaspora has become a strong support and source of pride for every compatriot living abroad."
Elvin Novruzov noted that the attention paid to diaspora youth and the opportunities created are an indicator of the strategic importance the state attaches to this area. In his opinion, despite living far from their homeland, thanks to the support of the Committee, they preserve their national identity and convey Azerbaijan's rightful voice to the European public more effectively.
The diaspora activist stated that as a cinematographer, he tries to present diaspora activities in a more modern and effective way on digital platforms by using the possibilities of visual art.
"The ADY platform not only gives us young people the opportunity to come together, but also creates conditions for us to form as voluntary ambassadors of our country abroad. Every cultural and social event we hold in the Czech Republic is a demonstration of our national unity and unbreakable bond."
He emphasized that the close cooperation established between the Committee and diaspora youth creates confidence in the implementation of larger-scale projects in the future.
"On my own behalf and on behalf of our youth in the Czech Republic, I express my deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to the development of our diaspora. I believe that thanks to our joint activities, Azerbaijan's position and influence on the global stage will always be strengthened even more."
