Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that he does not intend to make any serious personnel changes in the government cabinet.
Modern.az, citing "Sputnik Armenia", reports that Pashinyan, speaking at a briefing after the government meeting, said that the current composition of the cabinet of ministers would be preserved: "I do not plan to change the composition of the government. Deputy prime ministers and ministers, who are members of the government, will be re-appointed to their positions. Certain personnel changes may only occur at other levels of administration."
It should be recalled that parliamentary elections in Armenia were held on June 7, 2026. According to official results, only three political forces were able to enter the National Assembly:
"Civil Contract" party (Nikol Pashinyan) — 49.7456% of votes (726,819 votes) — 64 mandates
"Strong Armenia" bloc — 23.2710% of votes (340,060 votes) — 29 mandates
"Armenia" bloc — 9.9231% of votes (144,983 votes) — 12 mandates
With these results, the ruling party led by Pashinyan retained its majority in parliament, but lost the constitutional majority (two-thirds of the votes) required to unilaterally amend the country's Constitution.
