Iran considers the sanctions announced by the US as economic terrorism.
Modern.az reports that Iran's ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, stated this in a statement to journalists.
“In accordance with the principles of economic diplomacy, we are taking effective measures to combat US economic sanctions. Our main areas of cooperation are transport and transit. We strive to develop this cooperation with the countries of the region and attach great importance to it. We also strengthen, develop and advance our relations by cooperating with regional organizations such as the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS. We consider the illegal sanctions announced by the US as economic terrorism,” he said at a briefing at the Iranian embassy.
Rouzbehani added that Iran's geographical position gives the country a great advantage. According to him, Iran maintains relations with 15 countries in the world and cooperates very effectively with those countries.
