Another important step is being taken towards the development of media relations with Uzbekistan.
Thus, a wide media program will be organized in Uzbekistan from June 2 to 7.
Within the framework of the program, journalists from Turkey and various countries will hold a number of meetings in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. It was reported that a total of 40 journalists will participate in the visit. The visit will be carried out with the organization of the Global Journalists Council (KGK). Journalists from foreign countries and Turkey will also participate in the Uzbekistan-Turkey media forum.
The information was given to Modern.az by Azerbaijani journalist, KGK Foreign Media Council Chairman Elshad Eyvazli. According to him, the main goal of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between the media of the Turkic world.
Elshad Eyvazli said that within the framework of the program, media representatives will get closely acquainted with the historical and cultural centers of Uzbekistan. He noted that meetings with various official bodies are also planned during the visit.
The delegation is expected to visit the Turkish embassy in Tashkent.
In addition, meetings will be held with the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan and the country's leading media organizations.
Elshad Eyvazli said that a large media forum will also be organized in Tashkent. The forum will be held at the University of Journalism and Mass Communication of Uzbekistan. Cooperation in the media field, digital journalism and information security in the Turkic world will be discussed at the event. The Azerbaijani journalist will speak on the topic of Media Cooperation in the Turkic World at the forum.
The forum will consist of two sessions.
Media representatives and experts from various countries will speak at the sessions.
Within the framework of the visit, a visit to ASKON's Tashkent office is also planned.
The KGK official said that the program is not limited to official meetings.
Journalists will also visit the historical cities of Uzbekistan. The delegation will visit Amir Timur's mausoleum and Registan Square in Samarkand.
In Bukhara, it is planned to get acquainted with ancient historical monuments.
Later, the participants will attend meetings related to Oghuz culture in Khiva and Urgench.
Throughout the visit, free meetings and cultural programs will also be organized for journalists.
Elshad Eyvazli noted that such projects serve to expand common cooperation in the information space of the Turkic world.
According to him, similar media platforms are planned to be held in other Turkic states in the coming period.
KGK official said that mutual visits of journalists contribute to further strengthening of media relations.
