Israel has ranked third in the world for the commercialization of artificial intelligence technologies.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in the annual economic report published by the Israeli government on the eve of the Rosh HaShanah holiday. The information was disseminated by "The Jerusalem Post".

According to the report, Israel is also among the top 10 leading countries in the world in artificial intelligence research, development of innovative technologies, and practical application of advanced artificial intelligence systems.

It was noted that the country's high-tech sector showed significant growth. In the first half of the current year, Israeli companies attracted 53 percent more investment compared to the same period last year. The TA-125 stock index rose by 35 percent.

In addition, the national currency strengthened against the US dollar, and inflation fell to 1.5 percent. The budget deficit was 3.3 percent, which is below the government's target of 4.9 percent.

Despite external challenges, the Israeli economy continued to develop. In the first half of the year, the country's GDP increased by 3.2 percent, and nominal GDP per capita approached 70 thousand dollars.

The unemployment rate was 3.3 percent, and the employment rate of the working-age population was 71 percent. This indicator is slightly lower than the average for member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The report cited higher consumer prices in Israel as one of the reasons for this.
