The IV Shusha Global Media Forum will be held on July 13-14 this year.
Modern.az reports that the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) has released information about this.
It was stated that this year's event will be dedicated to the topic "The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust".
Approximately 160 media representatives, experts, and officials from 54 countries around the world will participate in the forum, with about 30 international news agencies and more than 60 leading media organizations represented. Representatives from about 10 international organizations and companies will also attend the forum.
Within the framework of the forum, panel discussions, one-on-one meetings, and interactive sessions will be organized around current topics such as the role of media in peacebuilding, cross-border media dialogue and restoration of public trust, international cooperation in combating disinformation, creating a safe information environment on digital platforms, media ethics in the age of artificial intelligence, and responsible journalism.
The forum aims to emphasize the importance of responsible behavior in media, contribute to the restoration of shattered trust between societies, strengthen digital solidarity, and take practical steps towards ensuring peace.
It should be noted that the first International Media Forum on "Global Trends in Media, New Challenges" was held in 2022. In subsequent years, this initiative continued in the format of the Shusha Global Media Forum. Thus, the I Shusha Global Media Forum held in 2023 was dedicated to "New Media in the Era of the IV Industrial Revolution", the II Shusha Global Media Forum held in 2024 was dedicated to "Exposing False Information: Combating Disinformation", and the III Shusha Global Media Forum in 2025 was dedicated to "Digital Transitions: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of Artificial Intelligence".
The Shusha Global Media Forum, which has brought together nearly 600 influential media representatives, experts, and officials from 81 countries during the four forums held to date, has strengthened its position as one of the leading international platforms for discussing the global media agenda.
In the sessions of the forum held in previous years, issues such as digital transformation, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the media sector and news production processes, the opportunities and challenges created by these technologies, innovations in media, and strengthening international cooperation and solidarity in combating disinformation were widely discussed. The rapid changes in the global information environment in recent years have further increased the relevance of these topics. In this regard, as a continuation of the discussions initiated in previous forums, these directions will also be at the main focus of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum and will be discussed in detail in the context of modern challenges.
