Famous Turkish artist and philanthropist Haluk Levent has been sentenced by the court to a large sum of money for two illegal checks he signed in 2025.
Modern.az reports with reference to the Turkish press that the total amount of the checks, which were put into execution because they had no equivalent in the bank, was approximately 70 million Turkish liras (approximately 2.5 million manats).
In the verdict issued regarding the financial crime, Haluk Levent was also officially prohibited from signing, regulating checks and opening check accounts in banks.
