Several American military aircraft are reported to have been damaged as a result of Iran's ballistic missile strike on the important US "Muvaffaq Salti" airbase in Jordan.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that, according to the information, at least one A-10C "Thunderbolt II" attack aircraft belonging to the US Air Force was destroyed as a result of the attack. It is also claimed that approximately 8 F-15E "Strike Eagle" fighter-bomber aircraft were damaged.
The incident is reported to have occurred on September 8. Allegedly, the attack was carried out after US forces struck 5 Iranian oil tankers. After that, Iran launched numerous ballistic missiles at the US airbase in Jordan.
According to the information, US air defense forces used more than 60 missile defense systems to intercept the first 20 Iranian missiles. Thus, on average, approximately 3 interceptor missiles were used against each Iranian missile.
Allegedly, during Iran's next wave of attacks, the "Patriot PAC-3" battery ran out of missiles.
