Sunni Friday prayer imam Molavi Yusuf Gorgic was killed in an assassination by unknown armed individuals in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in the information of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). IRGC commander, Major General Ahmad Vahidi condemned the assassination and claimed that the US and Israel were behind the attack.
According to the information, Gorgic is the second Sunni cleric killed in an assassination by unknown individuals in Sistan and Baluchestan this year.
Previously, Molavi Mohammad Anwar Riji, the Sunni Friday prayer imam of Mirjaveh city, was also killed in an assassination.
