Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has expressed doubt that the European Union will fulfill its promises regarding Armenia's Euro-integration.
Modern.az reports that, according to Lavrov, Brussels will “most likely deceive” Armenia on the issue of European integration.
He noted that the extent to which the EU's promises regarding Armenia will be realized is questionable.
According to Lavrov, Armenia's steps towards European integration indicate changes in the country's foreign policy. The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also emphasized that Moscow is closely monitoring the development of Yerevan's relations with the EU.
It should be noted that earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin called the EU's statements about the “magnificent European future” promised to Armenia “ephemeral,” meaning far from reality.
