The net international reserves of the Central Bank of Turkey decreased by 3.5 billion dollars in one week, falling to 62.1 billion dollars.
Modern.az reports with reference to Turkish media that a decrease was also recorded in the bank's total reserves during the same period. Total reserves amounted to 178.7 billion dollars.
Thus, a decline was observed in both net and total reserves during the week. The central bank's reserves are considered one of the main indicators in terms of the country's external financial stability and capabilities in the foreign exchange market.
The dynamics of reserves are also monitored by investors in terms of Turkey's foreign exchange policy, foreign payments and liquidity management in financial markets.
