Iran does not trust the US and expects real steps from Washington.
Modern.az reports with reference to ISNA that this was stated by Mohsen Rezai, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, during a meeting with Bafil Jalal Talabani, chairman of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), one of the leading political parties in Iraqi Kurdistan.
"We do not trust America in any way, they must take practical steps and earn our trust," the Iranian general said.
He emphasized the necessity of addressing the issue of terrorist groups and establishing security at the borders during the meeting, and warned about Israel's actions in the Kurdistan region. Rezai also emphasized increasing and developing economic cooperation.
Bafil Talabani also welcomed the development of economic, security and diplomatic cooperation, and highlighted the necessity of resolving the issue of groups and establishing security at the borders.
