A new claim has emerged regarding the death of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, the late chairman of Turkey’s Great Unity Party (BBP), in a helicopter crash in 2009.
Modern.az reports that according to the claim circulating in the Turkish media, Kaya İstektepe, the pilot of the helicopter crash that resulted in Yazıcıoğlu’s death, had previously played the role of a helicopter pilot in the TV series “Kurtlar Vadisi”. The claim states that İstektepe appeared as a pilot in one of the helicopters used by Pala and his gang in the episode where the character Halo was rescued from prison. In the scene, Pala temporarily takes the helicopters from Akrep Bekir. Kaya İstektepe is seen as the pilot in the second helicopter used by Pala and his gang. At the end of the scene, Memati kills the character İstektepe after the job is done.
The striking aspect of the claim is that Kaya İstektepe both played the role of a helicopter pilot in that scene in the series and was the real pilot of the helicopter carrying Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu on March 25, 2009.
It should be recalled that Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and other individuals in the helicopter lost their lives in a helicopter crash that occurred in Göksun district of Kahramanmaraş on March 25, 2009.
Turkish media is now discussing claims about a possible connection between that scene in “Kurtlar Vadisi” and Yazıcıoğlu’s death, and whether it carried any message. Some claims also link this to FETÖ. However, it has not been disclosed whether these claims are substantiated by evidence confirming a factual connection between the scene in the series and the real event. Investigations into Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu’s death and various aspects of the incident have remained a topic of discussion in Turkey for many years.
