Turkey has sent a proposal to Russia and Ukraine regarding the situation in the Black Sea and is awaiting a response from the parties.
Modern.az reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this in an interview with “NTV” television channel.
According to him, it is still difficult to achieve a long-term result in the current circumstances.
Fidan stated that the parties must decide whether to continue the war, which causes mutual losses, or to find an acceptable way to stop the fighting.
“We have sent our proposal to both sides and are awaiting a response,” said the Turkish Foreign Minister.
Fidan noted that Turkey's main priority at the moment is the export of grain from the Black Sea.
“Grain, unlike energy, is a product sold by both countries,” he emphasized.
The Turkish Foreign Minister did not disclose the content of the proposal submitted to Moscow and Kyiv.
