US President Donald Trump called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a "tough guy" and urged caution in dealing with him.
Modern.az reports that Trump said this during his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and leaders of Gulf countries within the framework of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The US leader called Erdoğan a "very tough guy" when speaking about him.
"Erdoğan is a very tough guy. Don't mess with him. He is a great person, he is my friend," Trump said.
It should be noted that in his speech, Trump also recalled the meeting held last year in the same venue within the framework of the UN General Assembly regarding the cessation of the Gaza war. He mentioned Erdoğan as one of the leaders who participated in that process.
