Ukraine is interested in the details of Russia's short-term ceasefire proposal and puts ensuring long-term peace as a top priority.
Modern.az reports that Volodymyr Zelensky made a post about this on his Telegram channel.
He stated that Ukrainian representatives were instructed to contact the US President's team to clarify the essence of Russia's proposal. According to Zelensky, the main issue is whether the proposal is only a short-term security guarantee for events to be held in Moscow, or a larger-scale ceasefire plan.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that his country continues diplomatic efforts for a real end to the war and proposes ensuring a long-term ceasefire, reliable security, and lasting peace.
He added that Ukraine is ready to cooperate in any effective and acceptable format for this purpose.
