Some Armenian media outlets have made claims about Shahin Mustafayev being allegedly greeted with dances during his visit to Yerevan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the association of the Azerbaijani delegation's visit with International Dance Day, calling it an unfounded approach.
Modern.az reports that the Prime Minister criticized such claims while answering journalists' questions.
According to him, linking the visit to any holiday or event is an attempt to distract from the topic:
“If we approach it with this logic, any day can be linked to other events. This is not about reality.”
N. Pashinyan added that the gradual normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the establishment of good-neighborly relations in the long term remain the main goal.
