The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has imposed restrictions on the import and transit of products under quarantine control from Armenia.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that, according to the agency, from June 12, the import of all products under quarantine control from Armenia to Russia is prohibited.
The restrictions cover not only imports, but also the transit of these products through the territory of Russia to other Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.
Rosselkhoznadzor stated that the decision was made within the framework of phytosanitary safety measures. No information was provided on how long the ban will remain in force.
