The new Prime Minister of Great Britain, Andy Burnham, has stated that the new government will fulfill all its obligations to Kyiv, including sending a military contingent to Ukraine after the conflict ends.
Modern.az reports that his speech was broadcast live on Sky News.
“When the ceasefire comes into effect, we will be ready to deploy multinational forces to strengthen Ukraine's long-term security. London will transfer the intellectual property rights of the new electronic warfare (EW) system “Stone Cloak” to Kyiv,” Burnham emphasized.
It should be recalled that on July 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Burnham on the aircraft carrier “Queen Elizabeth” in Portsmouth.
The Ukrainian leader was the new Prime Minister's first foreign guest. They visited the naval base, met with Ukrainian servicemen training in Britain, and held bilateral talks. Zelensky, in turn, thanked Burnham for providing EW technologies for drone protection and invited him to Ukraine.
