The Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) prevented the entry of more than 39,000 freshly cut roses imported from Armenia with fake documents.
Modern.az reports that 39,200 roses transported from Belarus to Russia were detained at Smolensk customs.
During the inspection, it was determined that the cargo was transported with fake documents. By decision of the territorial department of Rosselkhoznadzor, the batch of flowers, considered contraband, was destroyed on July 23.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the carrier.
