US President Donald Trump said that Israel would not be able to continue its existence without the support of the US.
Modern.az reports that the US leader spoke about this while answering journalists' questions on the plane during his visit from Washington to Michigan.
"You know, who wouldn't survive without us? Israel," Trump emphasized.
The US President noted that he mainly expresses this opinion in the context of the situation around Iran. According to him, if the US administration had not taken tough steps against Iran's nuclear program, Israel would have faced a serious threat.
Trump said that the measures taken to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, including strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, served to ensure Israel's security.
