US intelligence agencies believe that Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, takes a more ambitious stance than his father, the late Ali Khamenei, on acquiring nuclear weapons.

According to the publication, based on American intelligence assessments, Mojtaba Khamenei is more ambitious than his father, and the government he leads is expected to follow a more conservative line.
The information states that Iran has moved some of the centrifuges used for uranium enrichment to the well-protected underground "Pickaxe Mountain" facility in the center of the country. The US believes that this step indicates Tehran's intention to protect its uranium enrichment capabilities.
It is noted that the facility is protected not only by underground fortifications but also by ground troops to prevent possible ground operations.
According to US intelligence, other key components of Iran's nuclear program, including its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium, also remain intact.
