14 points of the draft memorandum of understanding with the US have been announced in Iran.
Modern.az reports that the details were published by "Mehr" Agency, citing its sources.
The draft agreement includes an immediate cessation of war, withdrawal of US troops, non-interference in Iran's internal affairs, lifting of the naval blockade, and provision of $300 billion in aid to Iran. Tehran emphasizes that the text will still be improved.
The project includes the following:
- Full and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including in Lebanese territory;
- Non-interference of the US in Iran's internal affairs and respect for its sovereignty;
- Full lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days;
- Withdrawal of US troops from territories near Iran;
- Resumption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days;
- Suspension of sanctions and ensuring full access to Iran's frozen assets;
- Provision of $300 billion in aid to Tehran by the US and its allies;
- Commencement of 60-day negotiations to reach a final agreement on the resolution of nuclear disputes, US sanctions, as well as the annulment of decisions by the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency;
- Iran's confirmation of its commitment to the obligations of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons;
- US commitment not to increase its military contingent in the region and not to impose new sanctions;
- US release of blocked $24 billion in financial assets during the 60-day negotiation period. Half of this amount must be given to Tehran before negotiations begin;
- Establishment of a mechanism to monitor the implementation of the agreement;
- Approval of the final agreement by a UN Security Council resolution;
- Final negotiations not to begin until half of Iran's funds are released, oil sanctions are suspended, and the naval blockade is lifted. The final agreement will only cover issues of the fate of enriched uranium, uranium enrichment, lifting of sanctions, and Iran's economic recovery program. Iran's missile program and support for resistance groups have been completely removed from the agenda.
According to a representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this text still needs to be reviewed and finalized by the relevant Iranian institutions.
