Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that next year the flight range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) developed by his country will reach 5-10 thousand kilometers, and they are ready to share this technology with the United States.
Modern.az reports that Zelensky spoke about this in an interview with American blogger Laura Loomer.
According to him, currently both Ukraine and Russia use drones with a flight range of more than 3 thousand kilometers.
"This year we will reach a distance of 4 thousand kilometers. Next year, this figure will be 5-10 thousand kilometers," Zelensky said.
The President noted that drones with a flight range of 10 thousand kilometers will significantly increase the capabilities of the United States against potential rivals. He emphasized that Kyiv is ready to share this technology with Washington.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine intends to sign the largest drone agreement in its history with the United States.
"We are preparing the largest agreement, which provides for the supply and joint production of various types of naval, air and long-range strike drones," he said.
The President noted that the document is almost ready. According to the project, joint production will be organized in the United States, and the produced drones will not be sold to "dangerous countries." Their export will be limited only to the United States, Europe and Ukraine.
Zelensky added that the main advantage is technology, and in this area both Ukraine and the United States have significant capabilities.
According to him, American servicemen and generals admit that Ukraine's combat experience creates unique technological advantages for the United States.
