Ukraine plans to continue large-scale unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations in the near future with the aim of isolating the annexed Crimean peninsula from Russia.

Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that this was announced by Robert Brovdi ("Madyar"), commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, in the last month, the flow of cargo and military supplies along the main supply routes from Russia to Crimea has decreased by more than two-thirds. Brovdi stated that Ukrainian drones target vehicles, warehouses, air defense systems, and military logistics facilities.

"We will isolate Crimea in the near future," he emphasized.

The commander noted that in the last year, the number of Ukrainian drone flights has increased 28 times, and the number of strikes deep into Russian territory has increased approximately 4 times.

According to Brovdi, in the first five months of 2026, Ukrainian forces destroyed 174 Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

He added that the analysis of large volumes of data plays an important role in the operations. Up to 12 terabytes of data are collected by units every day, which serves to improve artificial intelligence systems and increase the effectiveness of strikes.

According to the commander, the main goal of the campaign is to weaken Russia's military logistics, making the supply of troops in the occupied territories a more complex and expensive process.
