US President Donald Trump announced that the Washington administration is negotiating with Iran.
Modern.az reports that Trump spoke about this in a statement to journalists.
"We are negotiating with them," the White House chief said.
According to him, Iran is taking negotiations with the US more seriously than before.
At the same time, Trump emphasized that he has not yet made a final decision on launching large-scale strikes against Iran.
It should be recalled that US President Donald Trump announced on July 8 that the ceasefire agreement reached with Iran on the night of June 18 was no longer in force. After that, US troops carried out several attacks against Iran. The US Armed Forces Central Command claimed that these operations were carried out in response to Iran's actions against merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Iran targeted US military bases located in several Middle Eastern countries. Tehran also accused Washington of violating the terms of the memorandum on the cessation of military operations.
