Despite Israel's attack on Beirut and Iran's threat of retaliation, the plan to end the war between the US and Iran is still in effect for today.
Modern.az reports that US President Donald Trump said these words in an interview with Axios.
"The attack delayed the signing by a few hours. It was supposed to happen now, but it's scheduled for a few hours later," Trump said.
Trump said he was shocked that his advisors did not inform him by phone about the Israeli attack in Beirut and that he was angry at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"This is very bad. I couldn't believe this happened an hour before we were supposed to sign the agreement. Why the hell did Benjamin have to attack? I was very angry. He has no judgment. I told him that," Trump added.
Trump says that the agreement with Iran will be good for Israel because it will prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, require the disposal of nuclear material, and allow for immediate inspection of Iran's nuclear facilities.
