US Secretary of Defense Pit Hegset said that after signing an agreement with Washington, Iran will be able to immediately resume oil exports.
Modern.az reports that US Secretary of Defense Pit Hegset spoke about this in an interview with "CBS News" TV channel.
Answering a journalist's question about whether Iran would be able to start oil trade the day after the agreement was signed and the blockade was lifted, Hegset said that it would be possible immediately.
"Immediately. The president said so," the US Secretary of Defense emphasized.
In his statement, Hegset did not specify which specific agreement was being discussed and under what conditions oil exports would be resumed.
