Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will pay a working visit to Moscow on June 15-17 at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Modern.az reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation that a wide range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda are planned to be discussed during the talks.
Special attention will be paid to the situation in the Middle East, prospects for resolving the Palestinian problem, the development of the situation in the Black Sea region, as well as issues of ensuring safe navigation.
It is planned to pay special attention to the prospects for expanding cooperation in the South Caucasus, including the opening of transport and communication lines, as well as the post-conflict recovery of the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation noted that Russia and Turkey are interested in a peaceful and predictable South Caucasus and view the "3+3" Regional Cooperation Platform as one of the mechanisms for interaction.
Sergey Lavrov and Hakan Fidan will also discuss the situation in Syria, issues of interaction on Libya, integration processes in Central Asia, as well as the development of Russian-Turkish trade and economic cooperation.
In addition, the agenda of the talks includes the progress of the construction of the "Akkuyu" Nuclear Power Plant, the operation of the "Blue Stream" and "TurkStream" gas pipelines, as well as ensuring the safety of Russian tourists in Turkey.
The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that this meeting should confirm the high level of Russian-Turkish political dialogue and contribute to the further development of cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
