The European Union (EU) is sending a high-level delegation to Yerevan to demonstrate its support for the Armenian leadership.
Modern.az reports that "Politico" has published information about this.
The delegation also includes the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. She will pay an official visit to Armenia on July 1.
According to the information, Ursula von der Leyen will be accompanied by the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, during the visit.
The publication notes that this visit is a demonstrative support for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's government after his party's victory in the parliamentary elections held in June. Official Brussels considers Armenia one of the EU's main partners in the region and intends to actively support Yerevan's policy of deepening ties with Europe, as well as its foreign policy course.
