France's National Education Minister Eduard Geffray noted that classes have been suspended in approximately 1800 schools due to extreme heat in the country, and 8000 schools have adjusted their working hours.
The Eiffel Tower, a symbol of Paris and a popular tourist destination, was closed early to visitors today due to the hot weather.
According to the announcement placed on the information board in front of the Eiffel, the tower was closed to visitors at 4:00 PM local time due to extreme heat.
