An Afghan national who drove a car into participants of a trade union march in Munich, Germany, killing two people, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Modern.az reports that dpa agency disseminated information about this.

The Munich Court found 25-year-old Farhad Nuri guilty of the murder of two people and attempted murder of 23 people for the attack he committed on February 13, 2025.

As a result of the incident, a 37-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter lost their lives, and several other people were injured.

The court also determined that the accused's actions constituted "particularly grave guilt." This decision significantly complicates his early release.

According to the prosecution, the attack was committed under the influence of religious and political motives, as well as personal factors. It is reported that during the trial, Farhad Nuri showed no remorse and made Islamist gestures several times.
