US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons would lead to a global catastrophe. Modern.az reports that Trump spoke about this in a statement to journalists.
"Otherwise, the whole world could be destroyed. This will be a disaster not only for the US or the Middle East, but for the whole world," he said.
Meanwhile, Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen also stated that even if a peace agreement is signed between Washington and Tehran, Israel will launch a military strike if Iran resumes its nuclear program or continues to develop its ballistic missile program.
According to the minister, Israel is not bound by any agreement that does not fully ensure the country's security.
Eli Cohen added that Israel is trying to eliminate Iran's threats in the Strait of Hormuz and the Houthis' threats in the Bab al-Mandab Strait within the next three to four years.
