OpenAI has announced an important innovation for free ChatGPT users.
Modern.az reports that the company is preparing to remove the usage limit applied to text-based conversations. Thus, Free and Go users will be able to have unlimited text-based conversations with ChatGPT. According to the company's statement, the standard model for Free and Go users will be the new GPT-5.6 Luna. This model will replace the currently used GPT-5.5.
In addition, users will be presented with a new “Think” button. This button will allow the model to use more powerful thinking capabilities for more complex questions. However, unlimited use will only apply to text-based conversations. Separate usage limits will remain for file uploads and processing, images, voice functions, and AI-powered image generation.
OpenAI has also introduced innovations for paid Plus and Pro subscribers. These users will be able to use the improved GPT-5.6 Sol model. According to the company, the new GPT-5.6 Sol performs better in tasks such as daily questions, internet research, advice, planning, text writing, and decision-making. The model's more concise and reliable answers are also among the main innovations.
