Russia has expanded the restrictions it imposed on the import of fish products from Armenia.
Modern.az reports with reference to TASS that the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia ("Rosselkhoznadzor") has issued a statement on this matter.
According to the information, the certification of products from two more fish processing enterprises operating in Armenia has been temporarily suspended until the previously identified violations are eliminated.
With this, Russia has practically stopped the import of all types of fish products from Armenia.
It should be noted that as of June 2, Russia had imposed restrictions on fish imports from Armenia. According to "Rosselkhoznadzor", most Armenian companies engaged in exporting fish to Russia did not pass inspections or refused to conduct inspections. For this reason, the certification of their products has been suspended until the violations are eliminated.
It should be recalled that Russia had previously imposed a ban on the import and sale of fruits and vegetables, flowers, some types of cognac and wine, as well as "Jermuk" mineral water from Armenia.
