US Vice President J.D. Vance announced that no fees will be charged for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Modern.az reports that Vance said the US still has a lot of influence over Iran: "This allows the US to change the situation as it wishes."
The New York Times previously reported that Oman had submitted an official proposal to the US and other Western countries to impose fees on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
