North Korea is planning to send an additional 30-50 thousand troops to Russia.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that the new North Korean troops are planned to be sent to Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia, located on the border with Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also previously reported on the deployment of up to 30-50 thousand North Korean troops in Russia. He stated that North Korean troops are gaining modern warfare experience in Russia.
In addition, it is claimed that the new contingent will not consist only of military personnel. According to reports, North Korea may also send engineers, builders and female medical workers to Russia.
It should be noted that information about the participation of North Korean troops in the Ukrainian war on the side of Russia was first spread in 2024. According to US and South Korean estimates, thousands of North Korean troops were sent to Russia's Kursk region at that time.
