Iran's oil production increased by 26,000 barrels per day in July compared to the previous month, reaching 2 million 478 thousand barrels, and the country maintained its third place in OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries).

Modern.az reports that this was stated in the latest report of the OPEC Secretariat on oil production, citing secondary sources.

According to the information, Iran produced 2 million 451 thousand barrels of oil per day in June. In July, this figure increased by 26 thousand barrels to 2 million 478 thousand barrels.

With this result, Iran remains the third largest oil producer among OPEC countries.

Saudi Arabia is the leader of the organization with a production of 7 million 352 thousand barrels per day. Iraq is in second place with a production of 2 million 621 thousand barrels per day.

The total oil production of OPEC members reached 23 million 632 thousand barrels per day in July. This means an increase of 1 million 659 thousand barrels compared to the previous month.

At the same time, the total crude oil production of the countries participating in the OPEC+ cooperation statement amounted to 37 million 655 thousand barrels per day in July 2026. This figure is 1 million 424 thousand barrels per day more than in June.
