The departments of Vendée, Charente and Charente-Maritime in the west of the country, as well as Côte-d'Or in the east, were particularly affected by the drought.
According to the TV channel, 43 percent of small rivers and streams in France have already completely dried up or are in the process of drying up. This indicator is considered an unprecedented level.
