An explanation has been given regarding the images of Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei that were circulated in the media.
Modern.az reports that an Iranian official source, speaking to TASS about the matter, claimed that the images were taken a long time ago.
He noted that Khamenei has no health problems. However, he does not appear before the media for security reasons. The source also claimed that the circulated images were taken before his appointment as Supreme Leader.
It should be noted that earlier, Iran's "Mehr" news agency had published new images of Mojtaba Khamenei.
