Argam Abraamyan, son of former Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abraamyan, was arrested yesterday in connection with a contract killing committed in Yerevan on April 30, 2023.
Modern.az reports that, according to the Investigative Committee, he ordered his pguard to kill 54-year-old Sogomon V., a pastor of the religious organization “Evangelical Christians,” because he was jealous of his wife Emma Tsarukyan (daughter of arrested politician and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan).
Argam Abraamyan's arrest was carried out by employees of the Armenian National Security Service. A motion has been submitted to the court for his pre-trial detention.
It is reported that Sogomon V., a Dutch citizen, was killed in front of the entrance to a building on Myasnikyan Avenue in Yerevan.
