After 18 months of negotiations, Syria and Russia have reached an agreement on the future of Russia's presence in Hmeymim and Tartus.
Modern.az reports that SANA agency disseminated information about this.
According to the memorandum, civilian facilities, including Hmeymim airport and the fourth commercial pier of Tartus port, will gradually come under the control of the Syrian state.
Military facilities, instead of operating as traditional military bases, will be transformed into Syrian-Russian joint training centers.
The transition process is expected to be completed within three months.
