The "112" hot line of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire in a residential building located in the 34th quarter of Sumgayit city.
Modern.az reports that in connection with the information, the forces of the Sumgayit City Fire Protection Department of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately involved in the area.
Thanks to the necessary and urgent measures taken in accordance with the operational situation, the fire that occurred in the electrical panel installed in the stairwell of the five-story residential building was extinguished in a short time, without allowing it to spread, including to the apartments.
As a result of the fire, 2 p.m. electrical cable and 6 electricity meters burned.
Within the framework of security measures, 6 residents of the building, 2 of whom were minors, were evacuated.
The residential building and apartments were protected from fire.
